In 1983 I tuned into a little known television show sent across the pond from England’s BBC to America’s PBS called EastEnders. This lively British soap opera depicting the lives of the inhabitants of fictional Albert Square in Walford captured my interest for many an afternoon. I am pleased to see that after 25 some odd years the show lives on. Even as the families the show centers around have grown and changed the basic premise of life in London’s gregarious East End continues forth.
